In addition, raised funds from a community day in 2023. will be donated to the Black Dog Institute, and a local mental health program."

Client Objectives:

Create a seating space for all to share which serves as a memorial to a young member of our community, Caleb Quinn, who passed away in 2023.

Scope of Work:

This memorial consists of a two-way bench seating separated by a solid concrete table with an embedded steel plaque. The memorial required to contain resources for mental health support. It was imperative that the seating be built to encourage use amongst young and old, and be respected to withstand damage and graffiti.

Achievements:

This memorial holds plaques with QR Codes that lead to mental health resources. The seating at this memorial aims to tackle the stigma that mental health has within our community. And, spark conversation with strangers to exchange their stories and look through the resources provided! “It ain’t weak to speak!” The memorial is a place for all to reflect, feel encouraged, socialise and most importantly, live life.
